EAST WEST SESSION
If you're not sure what you need, these sessions are for you. This is me using all the tools in my toolbox to best address your current needs or goals. We might move a little to reorient your fascia, release some trigger points, retrain your posture, rehab some underused muscles and boost your energy flow. The first session consists of an in-depth intake and postural assessment so we can best decide how to move forward with each subsequent session including any combination of Shiatsu, Swedish, Therapeutic, Movement and Craniosacral Therapy. - Best for: ALL things! :) seriously, this is me using all the tools in my toolbox to help you with everything from poor sleep to forward head position. Especially good if you're trying to figure out chronic issues or undefined pain.
Deep tissue massage works layer by layer through connective tissue and muscles down to the deepest accessible layers to change posture and create freedom of movement by releasing fascial adhesions and chronic muscle contracture. Adhesions and scar tissue form in muscles because of injury, chronic poor posture, chronic or acute inflammation and repetitive motions. Expect more specific work.
- Best for: injuries, chronic pain that is muscular in origin, to improve posture and range of motion.
Swedish massage increases the circulation of blood and lymph, which has the result of cleaning and nourishing soft tissues--the skin and muscle. It lengthens and relaxes the superficial muscles of the body. Often a full body massage.
- Best for: relaxation, improved mood, general pain, improved sleep and sharper thinking.
Shiatsu is a physical therapy that supports and strengthens the body’s natural ability to heal and balance itself. It works on the whole person - not just with the physical body, but also with the psychological, emotional and spiritual aspects of being. Although shiatsu means ‘finger pressure’ in Japanese, in practice a practitioner uses touch, comfortable pressure and manipulative techniques to adjust the body’s physical structure and balance its energy flow. These sessions are designed to increase your ROM, strength and balance by combining physical therapy principles with yoga movement. We'll combine breath, mindfulness and asana with western therapeutic methods to create an approach that is holistic and thorough. Whether you're a seasoned 'yogi' or have never set foot in a gym, these sessions will help you move more freely in your body by expanding your internal consciousness. Great for rehabbing injuries!

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. Using a soft touch practitioners release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system. CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and it's effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.
